Lambussie District Business Centre sensitize stakeholders on Ghana Jobs and Skills Project

The Lambussie District Assembly through the Lambussie District Business Centre (BAC) on 22nd February, 2022 held a day’s forum with stakeholders at various levels in the district to sensitize them on the Ghana Jobs and Skills Project (GJSP).
The GJSP is aimed at reducing the rate of unemployment and underemployment in Ghana by providing skills development and job creation to citizens especially young people.
The World Bank is providing financing and technical support to the Government of Ghana (GoG) for the implementation of GJSP.
Participants at the meeting included Youth Associations, Trade Unions, Secondary, Vocational and Tertiary Institutions, Youth Entrepreneurs and Businesses, and the General Public.
The engagement was to also help conduct stakeholder mapping, and media survey to identify relevant target groups especially young people particularly women and Persons with Disability (PWDs) as well as identify communication channels and mechanisms for outreach…
