Lambussie District Assembly successfully completes four projects under GPSNP

The Lambussie District Assembly have successfully completed four sub projects under the Ghana Productive Safety Net Projects (GPSNP) to help boost agriculture and other economic activities in the district.
The four sub projects included; the Rehabilitation of small earth dam at Lambuu, Rehabilitation of Nabaala-Billaw 4.5 Km feeder road, Establishment of two cashew nursery and plantation at Billaw and Sentu.
The Ghana Productive Safety Net Projects (GPSNP) is a World Bank/Government of Ghana supported project implemented by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) with the ability of creating gainful employment for the economically active unemployed labour force and by so doing providing cash/income earning opportunities for the poor.
A report by Mr Fuseini Fahim, the GPSNP project Desk Officer for Lambussie District on the completion of the projects (2020-2022), indicated that the projects have provided employment benefits to 466 unskilled labour including 294 females and 172 males in the district.
The Lambussie District Assembly is one of the Assemblies benefiting from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development under the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP) for the 2019-2020 Support to District Assemblies in the Upper West Region of Ghana. The sub projects were extracted from the DMTDP and 2020 Annual Action Plan.
